As we consider the theme of “belonging” in September, we remember those in our community whose status as “belonging” is constantly under question.
For September 2022, our monthly sharing partner is the Yonkers Sanctuary Movement. This grassroots organization educates and mobilizes immigrants and allies in Yonkers to keep immigrant families safe from detention and deportation, and to fight for justice for the undocumented community of Yonkers. We have had speakers from this organization, and have raised funds for them before.
