PLEASE HELP WITH A WEEKLY DONATION OF FRESH PRODUCE & NON-PERISHABLES!

The Food Justice Ministry, formed by a community mutual-aid effort to address local food insecurities caused by COVID-19, has made it its mission to help bridge the gap of access to healthful foods caused by social & economic disparities.

Donations

ALL nonperishable and fresh fruit items are welcome (this now may include canned, processed, and sugary foods).  Whole grains (rice, pasta, quinoa, oatmeal), flour, dried beans and legumes, honey, and other items are included in what can be accepted.  Reusable bags are also welcome.

Donation days are THURSDAYS 9 am to 5 pm.

Checks can be mailed to the church (Church of the Mediator, c/o Food Justice Ministry, 260 W. 231st St, Bronx, NY 10463), or dropped off during food drop-off time (Thursdays 9 am – 5 pm).

Distribution

  • Appointments are preferred and you can sign up through Plentiful two ways: Text FJM to 726-879 or visit the Church of the Mediator on Thursdays from 9 am to noon.
  • Distribution on West 231st street side of the church
  • Seniors/disabled only: Fridays 10 am – noon
  • Age 64 and below: Fridays 1 pm – 3 pm
