from Jone Johnson Lewis, Leader
Do you have 15-60 minutes to help make a difference against climate change? You can help New York state work towards a just transition to a more sustainable, green economy by writing three letters this week.
The Climate and Community Investment Act in New York State will help create green jobs, invest in frontline communities, and build a renewable economy. Getting this into the budget by January 2022 is an essential first step, and that means decisions are being made now. Could you take the time to write three (handwritten) notes to the three key state decision-makers listed below? Then email me to let me know you’ve mailed the letters, so we can keep a count.
A suggestion is to name the bill you want them to support and include (The Climate and Community Investment Act), a sentence or paragraph about how your values ground your support for action against climate change, and a sentence or paragraph about something in the bill that you especially support.
