Writers Group: Ethics Matters

Already registered?  Then the first of the month is when you get your email packet, and can begin the month’s journey in writing.

Not yet registered? Read this description, then if you’re interested, register below.

Interested in writing as a way to reflect on your life, your relationships, your values, or your actions? The RYSEC Ethics Matters Writers Group may appeal to you!

We’ll meet (usually) on the third Tuesday of the month on Zoom, with opportunity to center, share our writing and listen to that of others, and reflect together. Each month, we’ll send out an email to those registered, with the Zoom link and a few writing prompts connected to this month’s Ethics Matters theme. (For example, the theme for September 2022 is The Path of Belonging, and prompts include some different ways to consider that theme.) Participants bring a sample of that writing to the monthly session.

This is a group to encourage reflective writing and develop our confidence and regularity of writing.  It is NOT a critique group on writing skills.

You can write in any form you want: prose or poetry, by hand or on your computer or other device or on a typewriter.  Let one of the writing prompts inspire you, then bring a few paragraphs (what can be read in about a minute) to share.

We invite those of you who are not members of RYSEC who’d like to be part of this: you can donate to the Society as you are able, to help us sustain this program.  Donations are not required for participation.

You only need to register once to get on the email list for the group and get the email with the next month’s prompts and the Zoom link. Please use the form below (reload the page if you get a message about the page expiring):
