sketch pad and coloring pens on a wooden surface

The Art of Living

The Art of Living is a drawing course that will engage in drawing practice to enhance life drawing skills.  Bring a sketch pad—along with a pencil, charcoal, pen, or other drafting mediums of your choice.   Some drawing sessions will include (but are not limited to) landscape, gesture, texture-based skills, self-portrait, and other motifs.

Jé Exodus Hooper (PhD) is an interdisciplinary artist and aesthete.  Jé has taught visual arts for 13 years in the public and private. They find their current artistic work in the practice of performance and of drawing the figure.  Jé is part of the RYSEC Leader team this year.

This will be in-person at the Society Meeting House.  Parking is available nearby on the street, with a few spots on the grounds of the Society.  (Don’t park on Fieldston Road just past the Society, in the Fieldston private community, or someone will likely tow your car.)

Please register so that we may contact you if there are any changes in schedule.  If you are under 18, you’ll need to have parental consent.  The registration form has information on where to request that.
