February 26, 2021 @ 4:00 pm – 5:00 pm

In February, as black history month winds down, we’ll watch a TED talk together as scholar-activist David Ikard explains why the whitewashing of black history should be a major concern for us all, even self-identified white liberals.  We’ll learn more about the real story of Rosa Parks.  Then we’ll have some time to exchange our ideas on the topic. An appropriate focus as Black History Month winds down.

No book or article to read ahead of time, just come and listen, learn, and share.

Hosted by the Riverdale-Yonkers Society for Ethical Culture.  All are welcome who are looking for ways to become a more ethical person and build a more ethical world.

TED Circles is a global community of small groups who discuss big ideas together. Here are details for the TED Circle RYSEC invites you to attend: https://events.tedcircles.com/invitation.html?id=recqogCN62UIYmjUy

No prep needed: we join a Zoom call, watch the TED Talk related to the TED Circle monthly theme, discuss the idea/topic, & have a great time together for 60 minutes.   We’ll look at the topic through the lens of ethics.
