Cultivating Optimism
The opposite of optimism is a sense of helplessness. It’s easy to feel helpless in challenging times. RYSEC Leader Jone Johnson Lewis will reflect on some different meanings and aspects of optimism, including differentiating it from unquestioned faith in a good outcome. She’ll also reflect on about how we can cultivate some optimism even in difficult times, in ourselves and our children, when it’s difficult to see how we might contribute to making a difference.
Sunday Sharing
Contributions to "Sunday Sharing" are shared between RYSEC and this month's sharing partner as we try to contribute to making a more humane world. This month, we focus on ending gun violence (and will in a future month focus on an LGBTQIA+ organization, which we usually have done during Pride Month).
Meeting Location
This Sunday is Zoom-only for the platform program. We begin the program promptly at 10:30 am ET, with gathering time from 10:15. We will try to end by 11:30. The Zoom room will be open until noon for socializing.
