The Creative Path: Ethics Matters
Already registered? Watch your email around the first of the month, to begin your creative journey along this month’s path. Not yet registered? Read the description, then if you’re interested, register below.
Are you interested in exploring your creativity during this coming year? Each month from September 2022 through June 2023, around the first of the month, you’ll receive an email with some questions and ideas. Each month’s prompts and ideas are related to the general Society themes for the months. For example, September 2022’s theme is The Path of Belonging.
Respond to whatever captures your imagination, and however you want to express your creativity. You might journal in words or images, write a poem, take a photo, make a collage of your own photos or your “found” images, make a video, create a painting or object, embroider or bead or weave, prepare a relevant dish to share with family or community, decorate a part of your home: whatever you’re interested in doing. Push yourself a bit outside your comfort zone and see what happens!
You can bring your creation to the Society, on weeks we meet in-person, and share at our Creativity Matters table. You can also share it during Social Time on Zoom, if you like. Or you can keep it to yourself.
Near the end of the month, we’ll have an optional Zoom meeting to reflect together on our creative responses to the theme.
(Parents: you can adapt some of these ideas for your children. We’d also love to see their creative projects at the Society on Sundays, if the child is willing for it to be shared.)
We invite those of you who are not members of RYSEC who’d like to be part of this: you can donate to the Society as you are able, to help us sustain this program. Donations are not required for participation.
You only need to register once to get the emails with the month’s prompts and the Zoom link for the optional reflection time. If you register after the first of the month, someone will send you that month’s materials within 2-3 days of your registration.
