The Coffee House @Ethical brings you joy, courage, and wisdom through music the second Sunday of every month. This month, Coffee House @ Ethical presents two sets. First, Mario Cancel Bigay will perform on the cuatro, Puerto Rico’s national guitar, with singer-songwriter Judy Gorman. Second, our own Lindsey Wilson will perform some of her original music.
NO COVER CHARGE. Free coffee will be available, and other goodies will be available for purchase. We will take a collection for free will donations to cover our costs, with half of the proceeds going to support the on-going recovery in Puerto Rico through Hispanic Federation UNIDOS.
PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION & PARKING:
Public Transportation: The New York City BX7 and BX10 buses stop at 239th street and Riverdale Avenue, at the Monument in the traffic circle. We are an easy 5 minute walk from there. Or, you can take the New York City #1 subway train to 242nd Street and walk up a large, somewhat gradual hill. Use NYC MTA’s Trip Planner to help you navigate your trip via public transportation. Google Maps can also help you map your trip if you choose the public transportation option.
Parking: A limited amount of street parking spots may be available within a few blocks of the Society for Ethical Culture. Do not park north of the Society building past the metal barrier and blue sign – that is a private street and you will be towed.
Free Parking available with parking pass: There may be a limited number of spots at the Fieldston School lot directly across the street from the Society for Ethical Culture building. Most parking will be available up the driveway directly north of the main lot. Tell the security officer in the booth that you are parking for the Society for Ethical Culture event.
Cars parked at the Fieldston School MUST have a parking pass. Someone will be outside the Society for Ethical Culture to hand out parking passes at the beginning of the event. Please put a parking pass on your dashboard if you park at the Fieldston School.
Please Note: There are a limited number of parking spots at the Riverdale-Yonkers Society for Ethical Culture, directly in front of our building. Please reserve these for people with limited mobility.
