Most weeks, voluntary donations are split between the work of the Society and an organization whose work in the world honors human worth.

They drew a circle that shut me out —
Heretic, rebel, a thing to flout.
But love and I had the wit to win:
We drew a circle and took them In !

Adapted from the poem ” Outwitted” by Edwin Markham

In this participative and reflective atmosphere, we’ll share together what it’s like to be or feel like an outsider, and what might help people (including ourselves) to feel more of a sense of belonging.  Led by Leader Jone Johnson Lewis.

In this week’s colloquy, we’ll be talking not so much about our experience in this Ethical Society, but more generally in our lives.  (We’ll continue the conversation about inclusion and belonging on August 28 with some musing about the practices, attitudes and values in our Ethical Society itself.)
