Looking for an opportunity to add some goodness and kindness into the world? The Riverdale Y is sponsoring another MLK Day of Service. There will be two socially distanced packaging projects taking place at the Riverdale Y (medical supplies and food) as well as a service-learning/online gaming option specifically for teens (13-17). The learning will focus on interacting with the “other” and how it is our duty/responsibility to find ways to build relationships with those that do not share the same culture, views, or experiences.
Additionally, the Y is in the process of finalizing some virtual experiences focusing on immigration, the environment, food insecurity, and social justice. Please continue to look back on their website for details (riverdaley.org/mlk).
