Riverdale-Yonkers Society for Ethical Culture
4450 Fieldston Rd
Bronx, NY 10471
Most weeks, voluntary donations are split between the work of the Society and an organization whose work in the world honors human worth.

Member Ellen Spindler will share her journey with us through African-American art and history,  based on museums and historic sites she has visited. She will discuss themes presented in some of the artworks relating to African-American history, racial, gender and cultural identity, non-Western forms and aesthetics, and the role of art in challenging stereotypes. Ellen is a former Board member of the Riverdale-Yonkers Society for Ethical Culture and is currently a volunteer at the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Historic House Trust of NYC.  Music by Lindsey Wilson.

11 a.m. is gathering time, to meet and greet one another.  We start the formal program at 11:15 and usually end about 12:30.  After that, we have a time of informal conversation with some beverages and snacks.  Please feel free to bring some snacks to share!
